Yoga Pants For Men

The perfect male attire to practice yoga

Even if you are a man, the practice of yoga requires that you pay attention to your outfit so that you feel as comfortable as possible when performing the different postures.
A new market is gradually opening up to sales professionals who increasingly offer a greater variety of yoga garments adapted to the morphology and expectations of men.
As with women’s sportswear, we might believe that any type of shirt, whether short-sleeved or long-sleeved, can be worth it. In the same way, we could also believe that it is enough for us to have shorts to go to the gym to practice yoga.
Well, no!
First, because when you have a yoga session, you’re going to sweat safe. A shirt with sleeves can make you feel a little uncomfortable with moisture and underarm sweat. Sweat does not have to be an unpleasant experience, provided you have the perfect equipment to evacuate sweat.

“Take care of your body so that your soul wants to inhabit it.”

Even if you are starting in yoga right now, I advise you to buy a sportswear designed exclusively to practice asanas and relegate the tracksuit or jogging pants to another place in your closet.
Although men do not need a sports bra or brassière, it will be necessary to choose:
  • between shorts (cycling type attached to the body) or yoga pants with some elasticity and ease to feel comfortable at the crotch level;
  • between a short-sleeved shirt and a tank top, in any case designed with an antiperspirant fabric to help you evacuate excess sweat.
The shorts will allow you more air circulation and are recommended, first of all, if you practice the bikram yoga (or hot yoga) mode. The same goes for tank tops.
Do not choose too baggy clothes either: since you risk that in certain postures, your shirt ends up in the head and, therefore, your yoga teacher will not be able to verify if you are doing them well or not.
As for the underwear, the choice is in your hands. Some are more adept at boxer shorts, while others prefer slip-type ones, such as Rafael Nadal in tennis. Avoid wide underpants, since they are not usually recommended for yoga or for any sport in general.
